Astreo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2014

Astreo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2014

This Montepulciano D’Abruzzo unlike other wines, is vinified at low temperature and there is no ageing in wooden barrels. Bright ruby red with a violet hue. The smell is very intense, full of fragrant notes of black cherry and marasca cherry. Dry taste with a warm exuberant freshness and gentle tannins.
    • Classification:    Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC
    • Grape Variety:   Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 100%

    • Food matching: Abrruzzo is known for rich, robust red wines that are ideal for roasts and grilled meats of all kinds. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is a hearty wine, packed with flavor and good acidity, but relatively low in tannins. It matches well with a variety of spices and herbs and complements salty foods, but it doesn’t necessarily require protein-rich dishes to tame its moderate tannins. Montepulcianos are most often paired with lamb, but sausages, savory vegetable dishes and strong cheeses are also good matches.
    • Serving temperature: 17-18 c°
    • Wine Aromas:   Hawthorn, Currant, Lychees, Poppy, Cherry, Rose
